Meeting planner: the best time to meet across time zones

The hour that works in every city.

New York & Tokyo has its own page, with the year ahead and calling hours

A working day · New York time

6–7 pm New York

8–9 am, next day in Tokyo

No hour fits everyone’s 9 am to 6 pm. At the closest fit, New York stays an hour late, and Tokyo starts an hour early.

Works Mon–Thu, when everyone is on a working day.

Meeting every week?
One fixed time is fairest. Taking turns wouldn’t share the early starts and late finishes any better.

How it works

What counts as a good time?

The whole meeting has to sit inside everyone’s hours on their own clock: a working day, 9 am to 6 pm, unless you choose other hours.

What if there’s no hour that suits everyone?

Then Meridian picks the closest fit and says who has to start early or stay late. For a meeting every week, it says whether taking turns would be fairer.

Does it know about clock changes and weekends?

Yes. Every answer is for today’s clocks, and when weekends differ, as between New York and Tel Aviv, it says which days work.
