Meridian is a free world clock, time zone converter, and time-coordination tool. The core clock experience remains private by default and stores its preferences only in your browser. The optional Find a Time Beta stores limited invite data so participants can respond from different devices. We do not sell personal information or use invite data for advertising.

What we store on your device

Your preferences are saved locally in your browser using localStorage — a small amount of data that stays on your device and is never sent to us. This is what lets Meridian remember your setup between visits, including:

• the cities on your board (and their order)
• your time format (12- or 24-hour)
• your chosen "reachable hours" and meeting length
• whether you've dismissed the intro tip

You can clear all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for Meridian. Nothing here is shared with third parties.

Find a Time Beta

Find a Time is an optional, free Beta for coordinating a time with other people. It does not require recipients to create an account. When an organizer creates an invite, Meridian may store:

• the invite title, date, duration, and final selected time
• participant email addresses supplied by the organizer
• the city or country and time zone selected by each recipient
• availability ranges and response choices submitted by recipients
• invite status and limited operational data needed for delivery, security, and abuse prevention

Each participant receives an opaque invite link. Everyone invited to a given invite can see the other participants' names, chosen cities, and the hours they marked as available, so they can pick a time that suits the group. This is stated on the response form before anyone submits. Email addresses and invite links are never shown to other participants, and nothing is shared outside the invite. Anyone who receives a private invite or organizer link may be able to use it, so links should not be posted publicly.

Invite retention and control

Find a Time data is kept only as long as needed to operate an active invite, resolve the coordination, and protect the service from abuse. Invites expire after the retention period shown in the product. Organizers can delete an invite sooner, which removes its participant and availability data from the active service, subject to short-lived backups and records that must be retained for security or legal reasons.

Email and service providers

Meridian uses service providers to host the application and store Find a Time data. If invitation email delivery is enabled, the recipient's email address, invite details, and private invite link may be sent to a transactional email provider solely to deliver that message. Meridian does not use participant addresses for marketing. We will identify any configured email provider on this page before using it for public Beta delivery.

Location

If you tap the "use my location" button, your browser asks permission and gives Meridian your approximate coordinates once, in your browser, only to pick the nearest city. We never store or transmit your location.

Analytics

Meridian uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and performance, including page views, referrers, device types, countries, and Core Web Vitals. It does not use cookies, build personal profiles, or track people across websites.

Advertising

Meridian does not use Find a Time invite data, participant emails, time zones, or availability for advertising. If advertising is introduced elsewhere in the free product, this page will be updated to describe the provider, what data it receives, and any choices available to you.
